We install all major decking types, including composite, hardwood, treated pine, and steel or aluminium subframes. For composite, we work with leading brands such as Trex, NewTechWood, TimberTech, NexGEN, Millboard, Outdure, ModWood and many more.

Composite decking is low‑maintenance, weather‑resistant, stain‑resistant, and extremely durable. It won’t warp, splinter, or require ongoing oiling — giving you more time to enjoy your deck instead of maintaining it.

H3 Treated Pine is suitable for above‑ground framing, while H4 is required for ground‑level decks or areas with minimal airflow. Using the correct timber is crucial to prevent rot, moisture damage, and termites.

With the correct materials, ventilation, and installation, a deck can last 20–50+ years depending on the product chosen. Poor ventilation or incorrect timber can cause rot within 5–6 years, which is why we always build to best‑practice standards.

Yes — we construct all subframes using the correct materials for your site, including H3/H4 treated pine, steel, or aluminium. We also apply joist protection to all joists and bearers for maximum longevity.

A 10% deposit secures your place in our schedule. Progress payments are made throughout the build, and in some cases upfront payments may be required to secure materials. Finance is also available if required.

1. Do you have HBCF home warranty insurance?

Yes — Platinum Decks Pty Ltd is fully approved to obtain HBCF Home Warranty Insurance for eligible NSW projects.

2. When is HBCF required?

It’s required for residential building projects over $20,000. If your project qualifies, we arrange the policy for you.

3. What does it cover?

HBCF protects homeowners if a builder cannot complete or fix work due to insolvency, death, disappearance, or licence suspension.

4. Do you organise the certificate?

Yes — we handle the application and provide your HBCF Certificate of Insurance before work begins.

5. Is this separate from product warranties?

Yes. HBCF covers the build; manufacturer warranties cover the materials used.

6. Is this an additional cost?

Yes. HBCF policy will be calculated on the total project cost and charged directly to you before the project starts.

Yes — we can provide AI or 3D renders to help you visualise your new outdoor space. These are often included with larger projects.
